Hunky Spooners 2-1 H’Elf and Safety
This was a very tight match. Great fun. The Spooners started with only 11 players Mino Berty Dumhole having broken ribs and new signing Bry Dumming missing with yet another injury. Conversely, a massive squad of Helfs had three on the bench.
The H’Elf kicked to the Chorfs and several turns later sacked the Hob ball carrier and looked like scoring however, the slow attrition of injuries ,5 KO and one Badly Hurt, left them with just not quite enough players on the pitch to bring it off.
The Spooners were able to sack and scoop back the ball and Joe Blobb ran it over the line in the Chorfs 8th turn
For the second half the Spooners could only bring 9 players to the pitch. A determined two pronged attack from the H’elf resulted in and equaliser in the 13th turn. Social Distancing died in this drive.
Hands Face Space was killed shortly after the Kick Off, the Apo reduced this to groin strain
The 14th turn saw Twinkly Rat carry the ball to within 3 squares of touchdown only to fail a GFI
H’Elf coach Penkoon managed to ge3t 3 tackle zones on the ball but it wasn’t enough
Hunky Bull Centaur and Spooner Hero blitzed Speed Bump and Hobgob Twinkly Rat, lifted the ball from two tackle zones , dodged and ran the ball home to win the match 2-1
Overall an excellent fun game that could have gone either way and puts the Chorfs back in retention with a possibility of retaining their crown after a poor start to the season.

Blackspine Manticores FL (Da Imp) - 1 vs 1 - Short Cut (Haugster)This was the 4th meeting between these two teams and it turned into a game that the fans will never forget. A score line of 1-1 really does not tell the story of the sublime and the ridiculous events that happened on the Blood bowl pitch this evening. The first half was nothing overly spectacular, with Short Cut winning the toss and electing to kick the ball. The Chaos Dwarfs were out for blood, angry that Mistress Pain was indisposed, and no doubt driven by unrequited lust that they couldn't get their oversized hands on her. They did manage to KO 4 Dark Elves and cause a single casualty in the half, but on the whole the Dark Elves did what Elves are best at and danced around looking pretty. The solitary TD of the half came after 5 turns with Finreth the Pale sauntering in to score after taunting the Cut fans along the endzone for a turn or two. Questions were asked about the quality of the Babe hired by the Manticores as just on Dark Elf recovered from being knocked-out. Even so, the Dark Elves managed to sack the ball carrier through some leaping AG5 action but just didn't have enough players to really force the issue and the ball was eventually scrambled free by the Cut, but too late to score. To start the second half none of the knocked-out players recovered. Leaving a very thin line in front of 11 very angry Dwarfs (and friends). But even with just 7 players the Manticores came close to scoring again. A pitch invasion flattened half the Cut team and a lightning bolt brought down the ball carrier deep in the Cut's half. The Manticores flooded forward - well what was left of them with 3 players being casualtied in quick succession, leaving just 4 Dark Elves on the pitch. This was now turning into a delay them as long as you can defence. The score was inevitable. Right? The Cut would collect the ball but then get sacked. They collected the ball again and this time looked absolutely free. 2 more Dark Elves had now left the pitch, leaving just 2 defenders and 6 turns to play. 2 became 1 defender. 5 turns to play. But even one lone Elf can still dodge, when that lone Elf is Finreth the Pale magic can still happen. Dodging through 4 opposition players, Finreth blitzed the ball carrying AG5 Hobgoblin and knocked him out, then went for it to collect the ball. Unfortunately right on the sidelines and out of movement. Naturally he was pushed into the crowd and the ball thrown back into the Cut's half. 4 turns to play. No Elves were now left on the pitch. A failed pick up ended the Cut's turn. 3 turns to go. The ball was eventually picked up and carried forward. An attempted pass was now dropped as the Cut desperately tried to move the ball forward into scoring range. 2 turns to go. The pick up failed. 1 turn to go... just as it looked like the Cut would fail to score against zero opposition, they managed to scoop up the ball and hand it off for the equalising score in turn 16. Thus avoiding a highly embarrassing loss. The draw doesn't do the Manticores play-off hopes much good but this is a game the fans will remember for many seasons. The Budweiser Babe didn't quite have the desired effect on the Dark Elf players

Hive of Scum & Villainy (anchor) 1-1 [FUN] The new knights (Jakala)
Seripas and a wizard combined well to give the Scum a shock 1-0 lead going into half time. With Fangless staying in the KO box at the start of the second half, the Scum sensed they could be on for a historic win. Unfortunately, they were over powered. They couldn't defend the ball carrier sufficiently, leaving a small opening (requiring 4 GFIs) for the Knights to get a 2D hit. If they'd survived that, and with a bit of luck, they could have been 2-0 up an out of sight.
Alas, it was not to be. In the end the Scum were desperately hanging on for the draw. Finally the Knights luck broke, as they attempted to sack the ball carrier for a T16 game stealing TD. Double Skulls ended the game.
Well played Jakala, was expecting to get slaughtered in this one, so anything else should have felt like a win. But....maybe I could have....should have....just about sneaked it....but it seems there is only so far Seripas can carry this team.
Thankfully both my players recovered from a small case of being dead.
Good game.

Chino Gang 1 - 0 Cilit BANG(tm*)
This was one of those games that makes you never want to play BB again.
Thralls making multiple dodges into and through multiple tackle zones, picking up the ball on tackle zones and never rolling a one.
Everything the Gang did came off. The Bang were merely spectators. Two games on the trot like that and you would move to country where BB has never been heard of

Catching up on a couple of reports for SAC losses.
I'm Thorin I haven't a Clue (Penkoon) vs The Eldorado Condors (Renuvin)
The dwarves didn't show up in this one until it was too late. Despite the Condors burning their sole reroll on the first rolls of each half and essentially playing 16 (or rather 18) turns with no reroll cover, the dwarves couldn't do anything to stop the pesky elves having their way.
The opening kickoff the Clue lined up to receive the ball, but were way too aggressive in their formation. The Condors blitzed with wardancers leaping into the backfield, making a complete mess of the dwarven setup. Somehow the dorfs scrambled to protect the ball but got stuck deep in their own half. With the help of a tree disrupting the cage, wardancer Gwythost sacked the carrier and ran off with the ball, only to be crowdsurfed for his efforts. The fans lobbed the pigskin onto an empty patch of ground which Clue players all headed for. Foreshadowing what the Spooner's would also do to coach Penkoon's other team, the Clue put 3 tackle zones on the ball, only to watch hopelessly as Zarafein brushed them off, picked up the ball, dodged out through the tacklezones and lobbed a go-ahead scoring pass to Lothdia.
Down on the scoreboard but also in the casualty battle, with runner Fili Jupitus injured by the crowd, it was always looking a long way back. A riot lengthened the first half an extra turn, nearly allowing the Condors to nick a second, but the elves couldn't quite pull it off. However, when they received the second half kickoff there was little the Clue could do to shut down their offence. They doubled their advantage via a long pass from Dehanna to Fin'und (MVP), who caught the ball in a tackle-zone and single die blitzed his way into the endzone.
At this point the dorfs finally woke up and started playing, but scoring twice in 6 turns was never on the cards. A slow grinding drive resulting in 3 elven casualties and a few KOs was finished with Michael Balin scoring in the corner, but was too little too late.
Final score 2-1 to the Condors.

I'm Thorin I haven't a Clue (Penkoon) vs -Creep Show- (Overseer Lee)
At this point, Overseer Lee is essentially living rent free in my head, as I can recall being out-coached in several heavy losses (including back in the day) but no victories. So it didn't bode well heading into this one.
The Creep Show hired star player Fez, who brought along a ball and chain which proved excellent entertainment value. The opening underworld drive became a close-quarters punching match with the Dwarves choking the Creep Show's offence, preventing them advancing too far but never putting sufficient pressure on the ball. This suited Fez to a tee and he smashed his way through all the close-knit players, crunching his massive ball into friends and foe alike. He bowling balled a clear lane and the rats poured through bringing the pigskin with them. However, his chaotic nature also proved the Creep Show's undoing: with the rats well placed to attempt a T8 score, Oversee Lee misread whether Fez was blocking a dorf or a rat and accidentally smashed Enforcer Scratch to the ground, causing a turnover before they could take the lead.
At the second half kick-off the Clue were completely undone by a blitz. The Creep Show took full advantage, managing to catch the kick, protect the ball carrier and tie up the dorfs within range to do anything about it. Nefarious Bone ran in the score in the Creep Show's first real turn of the half.
Down a score, the dorfs also found themselves short on numbers with Thick Reeves, Rowan Fat-kinson, and Terry Kili-am all injured, while the apo was needed to prevent Dori O Briain joining them. It's not always about quantity though, as in response to losing the casualty battle they killed both linerat Gloomy and Hobnail (the MVP - it always goes to a dead player). Still, without a full 11 on the pitch, the Clue were unable to mount a coherent offence. In the end both teams attempted late risky plays to score, but neither came particularly close.
It finished 1-0 to the underworld side.

Grassgrow Rangers 2 - 2 Caimen Excise Dodgers
The wegies took advantage of over excited lizards rushing a blitz kick off and being caught out of position to score a turn 2 touchdown. The Dodgers then ground down the pitch, shrugging off a fireball to equalise in the first half.
Second half saw the lizards score in turn 12 before a OTTTM equalised in turn 12. The game finished a draw because of a turn 16 gfi snake eyes for a skink.
