Angry Vomit JV (FL) 1 - 1 Ride the Bone Train
A hard fought game between the Orcs and Khemri. Angry Vomit won the toss and opted to kick in the first turn and despite the strength of the Bone Train front line the Orcs were able to steal and ran in a TD late in the first half.
The Khemri were now up against it, a goal down and kicking against a team proven to be better in a fight (so much block...). However, an inaccurate Orc pass gave them a lifeline and a blitz-ra scooped up the ball and the potential for some glory presented itself.... until he got thumped and fumbled the ball into the crowd (dumbass). However however, the scatter gave another lifeline and a thro-ra scooped up the ball and saw the potential for some actual glory. In a display of pure non-Khemri like behaviour, the ball was moved about 3/4 of the field in one turn leaving one lucky skeleton almost guaranteed a TD. A last ditch attempt was made to catch him but the Orc blitzer tripped over his own shoelaces and the skeleton walked it in with just seconds on the clock.
Cheers for the game Og

The Alliance of Light (Da Imp) - 2 v 0 - Howlierzz (Boo1964)
The Light marched on to a third straight win. Shocking not only themselves but their fans too. Many in the stands wondered how they managed to keep their Trees so well watered and limber. The frontline of Willow, Twiggy and Lofty gave the Light a solid base to keep the Howlierz at bay. The Halfling hit squad had moderate success putting the boot in when the opportunity arose and managed to ensure that the Howlierz Werewolf missed most of the first half. A half that the Light led 1-0 at the break - having stalled for several turns, ignoring the boos and hisses of the Undead fans. "Just basking in the very sunny conditions. It's been a while since we had a holiday." said Aire Jordhen on his way down the tunnel to his waiting throng of admirers. Conditions changed in the second half to a downpour that made the ball very slippery. But this didn't seem to bother the Light as they turned over the Undead and scampered off to score again late in the game. Two Halflings were by now in the Dead and Injured box, joined by a Dwarven Blitzer and (after the ref eventually woke up) a sent-off Halfling found some solace from the rain in the sin bin. One Zombie tripped and was smothered in the muddy pitch, never to recover.

Lancashire Loverats (VALIS) 1-1 Hive of Scum & Villainy (anchor)
I was ROBBED. The Scum seemed to have full control of this game right from the blitzed kick off. A quick defensive score put them in pole position, before they were able to take control of the second Loverats drive through their numerical advantage. The Scum just couldn't turn possension into points for the remainder of the game. A slippery gutter runner was then able to get it's paws on the ball late in the game and dance around to end up running in a T16 equalizer.
Sluutch was hit hard and as often as possible, including fouls and gang-fouls, but he just won't die. Some nameless Loverat did get sent to the afterlife, with Nobbla joining it later after succumbing to a gang-foul himself due to his chainsaw proving rather annoying to the Loverats.
Well played Valis, you managed to absorb all the Scum had to offer and still sneak a draw. GG

Lancashire Loverats (VALIS) 1-1 Hive of Scum & Villainy (anchor) I was ROBBED. Yes, you were.
When you blitzed my ball carrying GR in the last turn, I said aloud: "This will be double skulls"
And it was.
The programming of this game is embarrassing.

Handsome Sniffers (Selfy) v Chaos Theory in Practise (boronate) 0-1 Happy slapping in 1st half, goblins sacked my ball carrier twice + dead chaos warrior, and no scoring. Each team fielded 6-7 players for 2nd half, rather open play, I got the sack, and the ball bounced to Minotaur, who blitzed his way to touchdown without touching any opponents ... Sniffers had the slim chance of throw-team-mate in 16th, but spectators knocked out the troll. Got enough gold to buy a warrior, so at 3 warriors again.

Get any armour breaks in this game? One that I recall. That's three games in a row we've been slapping like wet lettuces. Statistically, the next game we play, we should kill the entire opposition by turn 2.

Still lost to a mino score near the end.

The Alliance of Light - 3 vs 0 - Bumslurry Fuckpigs
Any game where a Halfling kills an Elven catcher and another intercepts a pass is a good game. And this was a great game. For the Light at least... the Fuckpigs had a nightmare. The Light racked up 1 kill and 4 injuries to go with their 3 touchdowns in a glorious orgy of Halfling supremacy on the Blood Bowl pitch.

Short Cut finally lived up to their aspirations to be as nasty as can be. After mostly delivering cuddles and hugs, they punched, kicked, bit and spit the whole match thourgh against Smiffums Bone Train till 8 CAS had been delivered, including 1 dead tomb guardian.
Should we not stand with 2-1-1 in the table after this, if our bye was deemed a win?
