The Alliance of Light 3-2 Bastid and the Coonts
"Do not fight the trees! I said it plain enough, right there in the dressing room, do not fight the trees! I told them twice! Thrice! A dozen times do NOT fight the trees!” a perplexed Spleens complained after the game. “Whadtheydo?”
The simple truth is with three trees on the scrimmage line it’s almost impossible to avoid them and when you have a saurus, an ogre and a BOB on the line there's not going to be much dodging away. Even the ogre needed help. He took an injury on the second turn, saved by the apo but obviously had not quite recovered as he bone headed every other turn for the rest of the match.
Rising star Snotling Tweeny McScab was killed in the same turn and by turn 3 the team were down 4 players and morale was low. Tik Tok McBoom managed to fell one of the arboreal monsters with a badly scattered bomb that also took down two of the Coonts but failed to cause an injury.
“They brought a forest! A mother loving forest!” a distraught Spleens exclaimed “with an Elf init!”
That Elf is a fucker and then some. Da Imp is no novice and used the various strengths of his team well and it wasn’t long before the Alliance scored.
Second most hated Blood bowl player of all time and misdirected projectile, Barry Scott, scored the equaliser late in the first half having KO’d a halfling by landing on him and then catching a scattered pass. One thing about playing against a team that consists mostly of MA 5 and less, once you are past them with ball there is little they can do about it.
The second half was a walk over for the Alliance as Nuffle showed his/her colours. Double skulls, failed Sure Hands, a blizzard of rolled ones for the Coonts and the Alliance were comfortably ahead 3-1 in the 16th turn.
A consolation TTMTD by despised goblin Barry Scott helped to ease the pain, Scott levelled choosing side step.
Well played Da Imp, the Alliance are an excellent team and are going to get better.
It was a fun game. That frontline of Trees does pack a punch but those game where they all take root within 2 turns are painful. This team is offering me a nice challenge so far, enough flaws to make them interesting but equally a few skilled players to keep them a viable threat. I think they will struggle when they come up against more established teams though.

Hive of Scum & Villainy (anchor) 2 v 2 Grassgrow Rangers (booncabal)
Strong start for Underworld when a pair of double skulls shat in my face. We came back and smashed goblin faces off to draw it 1-1 on a smart little cut back, and in the 2nd half we continued the beating and took a 2-1 lead, mainly as Anchor was spunking 1s everywhere. However there was enough time for the dodgy two headed horned freak FUCK to pick the ball up in a TZ and run down the field, evading my collection of, by now, completely pissed Grasswegions and steal the draw from our yellow-fingered grasp!
Fun game.

Hive of Scum & Villainy (anchor) 2-2 Grassgrow Rangers (booncabal) Somehow pulled off a totally undeserved draw. Seripas was the undisputed star of the team. Breaking cages, breaking bones and hearts at the death to snatch a draw. Leveled up with a double 5, suggestions of where he goes from here?

Blackspine Manticores - 1 vs 2 - Ghouls AloudInterviewed after the game, a clearly unhappy Mistress Pain had this to say "This was a game that really could have gone any direction. I felt we had the beating of those dead bastards, could easily have been 1-1 at halftime if that limp wristed runner hadn't fumbled the pass. I was all set to catch the ball, spin out of reach of the defenders and score. It's so hard to find players worthy of my attention these days. Then the second half got going well, I scored a beauty of a TD after that runner got a hard lesson at half time (Pain strap-ons can now be bought at the team caravan) and actually landed a pass. So that should have been 2-1 to us. Then we smashed their cage with a fireball at the next kick-off and I ran off with the ball. All set to score again (should have been 3-1) when the clasps on my corset snapped, distracting me long enough for the Ghouls' to knock me down. Naturally by this time I had had quite enough of this rubbish and stormed off to the dugouts. What happened to all my protection?! It goes without saying that with out my presence on the pitch the team fell apart and the Ghouls went on to score a winning TD. Still at least I can now go corset shopping. I hear Halfling bone is all the rage these days for a really tight fit."
Available at all official Manticores Merchandise Caravans. Take one for the team today!

Leveled up with a double 5, suggestions of where he goes from here? Oooh! Is a 10 +AG? I can't remember. That'll be great for having him land during TTMs and also help picking up the ball.
Other than that, Block (to keep him alive), or wrestle/stripball (for attacking the ball carrier).

Cheers for the fun game Da Imp!
Was impressive how quickly things fell apart, from looking like you'd take a second half lead after my cage got fireballed apart, to the Ghouls running in a score instead!
I did my best to claim the bounty on Mistress Pain, but killed the wrong elf

It happens at tabletop too. Many a time I've been sat there bored, or I can see the light go out of my opponent's eyes as they know they've got to sit through two more hours of time-wasting bollocks. This is why I only really play stunties and other weird stuff now. An hour or two of sitting there getting stalled on by Chorf (et al) isn't appealing. I'm starting to dabble with the elf too, but I only really know how to hit stuff. Might try Skaven. Looks like fouling has been buffed so that should be a thing in BB2020 and Underworld can get more than 11 players on the pitch which I'm proper excited about. And a Rogre! I'm so excited it feels likw when 2nd edition came out.
