A couple of weeks ago i felt awful after a BB win. I'd basically made my opponent wait for 35 mins then diced them hard. I thought that this would be the worst i'd feel after a win, this season at least.
I was wrong.
Today i topped it. I was 2-1 up in the second half but i was feeling tired and shit, my vision felt blurry and i had a twitch on my eye lid. I'd had a shite week at work (coulda been made redundant) and just wanted to veg out... so after making yet another mistake i told Nobby i'd concede. Nobby being a trouper wouldn't have it and persuaded me to stick at it 'come on beef you can win this' he said. Thus persuaded I then proceeded to have the last few turns go completely my way with the Nobster making missclick after missclick.
Fuck this game... especially the cyanide version.
Cheers for the game matey - next time i say i'll concede I trust you know what to do

The Alliance of Light (DaImp) - 2 vs 1 - Ghouls Aloud (Penkoon)The Light pull off a truly astounding win over the reigning Fun League champions to advance to the Fun League Final! This was a seriously tight game that really could have been won by either team. The Light got the breaks when they needed them - in particular winning the toss for overtime. Had Ghouls Aloud won the overtime toss they surely would have won this game. Such are the breaks in Blood Bowl! The first half was a slow burner. The Light won the toss and elected to receive, looking to eliminate as many Undead players as they could before (hopefully) scoring. Despite a slow start where the team struggled to get out of first gear and impose themselves on the Undead, the Light did eventually manage to injure several players and make slow progress down field. The 3 Trees all took root midway through the half which severely hampered the Light's forward progress, forcing them to make a break for the endzone without proper cover. This resulted in Ghouls Aloud sacking the ball carrier and stealing the ball with just 1 turn to play in the half. But a well timed lightning bolt brought down the Ghoul and allowed the Light to scoop up the ball and hand it off to a Halfling to open the scoring. The game had been played in sweltering heat but it must have been a mild heat as only 2 players were affected for the following kick-off. More effective had been the Ghouls Aloud regeneration with 3 out of 4 injuries recovering for by the break. This was to change as the game wore on! The undead dominated the second half, comfortably controlling the tempo of the game and protecting the ball with imperious ease. The Light did manage to inflict a few more KOs and injuries to keep Ghouls Aloud honest, but could do nothing to stop them from taking as much time as they wanted to score in the 16th turn - deliberately slowing the game down to reduce the chance of the Light scoring late on in the half. As it was the Light now had the chance of a 1 turn TD for glory. Except the Sweltering Heat had other ideas and all 3 Treemen succumbed to head exhaustion! A mercenary ogre drafted into the team could have provided the magic but he failed his bonehead roll and the half ended at 1-1. OVERTIME! The Light now won the most important roll of the game, the toss for possession of the ball in overtime. Naturally they chose to receive the ball, and had thoughts of going for a 1 turn TD while the defense of the Ghouls was up. But they chose to hold onto the ball and look to even the numbers a bit (Ghouls Aloud started OT with 11 players to the Light's 10). This tactic immediately bore fruit as 2 Undead players were removed from the pitch (and failed their regen rolls). The Light pushed down the right side, threatening with a Halfling in range of scoring. Ghouls Aloud scrambled to cover the threat but could not bring him down, this left the Light with a choice to make; risk it all on going for the TD or play it safe and look to take out a few more players. They chose to go for the risky play and the Halfling dodged free (thanks to a reroll) while a path for Aire Jordhan was created in the Ghouls Aloud defence, allowing the star thrower to run deep into the Undead half and launch a perfect spiral pass to the Halfling in the endzone. The ball was caught and the packed stadium went wild! Who would have ever thought this team of misfits had it in them to go all the way to the final?!

I felt it was a beautiful synergy of different races coming together in harmony, bringing out the best that is Blood Bowl.

Call the cops boys, there's been a robbery.
If you watch you'll see my tree, horrified of fighting three os his brethren, basically hiding for most of the game.
You'll also see the necro completely outplaying the elves until halfway through the second half with the game poised at one each when Nuffle shat on the New Knights.
Cheers for the game.
Impy when is good for you?

Impy when is good for you? I can play on Saturday, probably anytime of day really. (I'm GMT +2) I might be able to play tomorrow evening - if the lady of the house doesn't mind After that I am not certain. I will be down at the coast on holiday (until the 6th of Jan) but will bring the laptop with if we don't play before that. I could even play tonight if you read this in time!
