Does anyone know how the rankings are worked out in a ladder league? It doesn't conform to 3pts 1pt 0pts and wouldn't work anyway as in an open league some would play more than others. Is it something to do with your TV as well? Confusing the fuck out of me! There is a team with 1 draw ahead of a team with 1 win and 2 draws? WTF???

I think this was answered on the official boards so I'll check. I suspect the answer was "we don't know".

They have changed the way it works at least once so who knows. One thing I have noticed is that the standings don't update immediately after a game is finished, so while the record next to a team is correct the ranking is not. I'm not sure if it is just a time delay as the system processes results or if it updates on a set interval, but that is why it sometimes seems really weird.

It's a long formula that the admins have come up with and tweaked over many months now. But the basics are that the first 2 draws count as 1 loss and then the next 2 draws count as a win. Hence why you may see teams with a ton of draws behind other teams that you'd think they should be ahead of. Also keep in mind that the actual rankings won't reflect correctly until a team hits the 8 games played mark. That is the magical # where things start computing correctly.
