The truth is that the format of the game does not support high TV teams , it loses balance. If you adopt a long term, winning strategy, developing teams along certain, favourable pathways , then you end up with a lot of identical teams.....because its not designed to provide longevity past one season. The original TT concept that Jervis Johnson had was for developing and playing a team over one season with a group of friends and then starting a new season with new teams. High TV was rarely a problem , star players were very strong because no other players developed to that level.The format hasn't changed. The on line version of the board game allows massive development of players but the system does not cope well with that because of its origional premise.
